The aluminothermic process for vanadium production

摘要

The basic principles and the practice of aluminothermic technology are discussed, both in general terms and as they apply to the recovery of vanadium. The aluminothermic technology, in combination with a suitable refining process, holds great potential for the commercial processing of vanadium materials. The refining processes for alumino-thermically-produced vanadium are briefly reviewed.
