摘要

Magnetized liner inertial fusion (MagLIF) is a promising pathway to controlled thermonuclear fusion. The concept involves magnetically imploding a metal liner; a key limitation of such systems is the magneto-Rayleigh-Taylor (MRT) instability. MagLIF relevant liner implosions carried out by McBride et al [1] showed large amplitude MRT instability growth, requiring an azimuthally correlated seed to be added to simulations in order to achieve agreement.
