摘要

An obstructer avoiding system with ultrasonic sensors is introduced, which is used to detect front roadblocks for mobile robots. The system consists of eight ultrasonic sensors. The front two take the charge of avoiding roadblocks. Several tests are conducted to validate that the speed of robot is unrelated to obstacle-avoiding-distance. The testing result shows it was possible to decrease the complexity in robot dynamic modeling. The geometric shape of obstacle surface has considerable influences in obstructer identification. Thus it is necessary to pay more attention on it when robot is navigated autonomously. Since abnormal testing data are gotten occasionally, sensor fusion might be a good method to solve this problem.
