Introduction It is well known that milk protein is one of the most important composition of milk,the milk quality is decided by the production and quality of milk protein directly.There are certain achievements on the effects of insulin,prolactin,and hydrocortisone on cow milk protein synthesis.The gene expression,synthesis of milk proteins and lactoferrin can be increased by insulin,cortisol and prolactin in the dry period synergistically have been shown by research(Menzies,2009).The secretion of casein,whey acid protein and a-lactalbumin protein can be induced by prolactin together with glucocorticoids (Pauloin,2012).In the early lactation period,prolactin inhibitors can reduce the secretion ofprolactin and then the milk production drops,too (Lacasse,2012).The cells proliferation and the synthesis of milk protein can be affected byprolactin and insulin directly in vitro (Choi,2004;Bossaert,2010).
