摘要

A finite element numerical model for immiscible two-phase fluid flow in a deforming porous medium is presented. The displacements and the fluid pressures are taken as primary unknowns in the model and the constraint about the capillary pressure between two fluids is applied. The fully coupled governing equations which consist of the equilibrium and continuity equations for two immiscible fluids in a porous medium and their finite element solutions by the Galerkin method are given in this paper. To solve the semi-discretized governing differential equations in the time domain, a fully implicit procedure is presented. The stability analysis of the solution scheme is also carried out.
