The measuring device (1) has a deformation element deformed by the fluid flow (2), which is formed as flexible solid body and is arranged in the area of the flow conducting surface. Marking elements (7,13) are provided, whose absolute position (x) or relative position relative to another marking element (10) are dependent on the flexible deformation of the deformation element. A detection device is provided, which detects the change of the position of the marking element or the relative position of two marking elements. An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting a wall shear stress of a flow guide surface pressurized by flow of fluid.
