Thermal post-buckling of heated elastic rods with immovably clamped ends

摘要

In this paper, an exact mathematical model for post-buckling of uniformly heated straight rods with immovably clamped ends is presented. By using the shooting method and conjunction with analytical continuation, numerical solutions of the strong non-linear ordinary differential equations with boundary conditions are obtained and some corresponding characteristic curves are given.
