This paper investigated the effects of pigment, binder, water resistant and fixing agent on the image water-resistance performance for Eco ink-jet paper. The results showed that the different pigments had different effect on the image water-resistant property; and the image water-resistance was obtained as silicon dioxideto-kaolin ratio was 40 to 60.The styrene-acrylic latex was an excellent coating binder for image waterresistance, in which the performance was improved by adding more latex in the coating. The optional dosage of latex was 40%(by weight of pigment) according to image quality. While the water-resistant agent and fixing agent was found less effective to the improvement of the image water-resistance for eco-friendly ink-jet paper.
