Can Conversation Analysis Shed Light on Language Acquisition?

What Can Conversation Analysis Say about Language Leaming? In this paper, a simple claim is made: that classroom interaction for language learning is very rich in practices oriented to language learning. This is a simple claim for an exceedingly complex phenomenon. To explore this complexity, the methodology of Conversation Analysis (CA) is used. The data for the investigation are a set of English classes for speakers of Korean, some held in South Korea, some in Australia.
