It is renowned that transient simulation is a powerfulrntool which reveals fundamental characteristics of anyrnliquid engine. Using the program TLR-Sim (TransientrnLiquid Rocket Engine Simulator), whose developmentrnhas recently begun, both LOX/Kerosene andrnLOX/Methane engine components have been closerrnexamined whilst seeking for a clear indication ofrnadvantages associated with the use of one or the otherrnin a number of potential engine applications. Results ofrnthe performed simulations are presented andrncommented.rnThe program TLR-Sim and its development are shortlyrnpresented. A short summary of the program structurernand main characteristics precedes the detailed enginernanalysis and comparison. A brief conclusion willrnfollow, outlining both the main results of the inspectionrnand a future roadmap for a subsequent programrnevolution.
