A piezoelectric tubular transducer, prepared from a hard ceramic material 0.95Pb(Zr_(0.52)Ti_(0.48))O_3·0.03BiFeO_3·0.02Ba(Cu_(0.5)W_(0.5))O)_3+0.5wt%MnO_2, was investigated. The ferroelectric property of the material was first studied. The bending displacement was then measured. A displacement of 1.03μm with low loss was generated under a 300 V drive. The bending and longitudinal vibration mode was examined, using an impedance analyzer and finite element software ANSYS/Multiphysics 5.7.
