Since late 90's of the past century, the GeneralrnAviation (GA) aircraft systems have becamernmuch more complex and sophisticated.rnEspecially in avionics, systems took a great steprnfrom mechanical instruments to adoption ofrnmultifunctional display units capable of singlepilotrnIFR operations. Therefore, it wasrnnecessary to significantly extend safetyrnprocedures and assessment methods and changernmaintenance practices already adapted for therncategory. The paper discusses problems ofrnreliability/safety procedures application,rncurrent trends in maintenance and the way thernsystems architecture is affected. In addition, anrnincreased effort in application of ReliabilityrnCentered Maintenance (RCM) in the smallrntransport aircraft category is discussed andrnemphasized. Paper provides extension of therninformation given previously in [14].
