Second step: at least one component instance (332) is created (220) for the third section (343) by selecting at least one component of the components (301) to describe said technical system (501, 502), wherein the system dataset (330) is preferably associated with the at least one component instance (332). Additionally, in the second step at least one dominant failure mode instance (333) is created (220) for the third section (343) by combining the at least one dominant failure mode (302) associated with the selected component with the at least one preventive maintenance task (320). Third step: it is checked (230), if the preventive maintenance task (320) is a valid task to prevent the dominant failure mode (302) of the dominant failure mode instance (333) for said technical system (501, 502).
