Accelerated Bridge Re-Decking of Bridges on the George Washington Memorial Parkway

The need to replace severely deteriorated bridge decks is one of our Nation's top priorities. With limited funding and high volumes of traffic, cost-effective accelerated bridge construction methods must be utilized to deliver new decks with minimal impact to the traveling public. Precast concrete deck panels have been used successfully by the FHWA - Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division for the National Parks Service on the George Washington Memorial Parkway to accomplish these goals.
