Cabot Corporation has developed hydrothermal barium titanate - based dielectric slurries that are custom formulated for manufacturing high volumetric efficiency X7R MLCCs with Ni internal electrodes. These stable, sub-micron suspensions provide significant benefits in the fabrication of thin green sheets with good surface quality and low defect density. Controlled grain structure resulting from the uniform primary particle size and the surface coating of dopants promotes higher part yields and device reliability.
