In interior cycle of regenerative liquid propellant gun, it is clear that spray processes and droplet combustion are of central importance to gun performance. The present paper reports experimental data on distribution of droplet sizes in atomization field of HAN-based liquid propellant by use of laser holographic system. The relation of droplet sizes distribution with injection pressure, liquid viscosity, nozzle gap are discussed. The results show that LP1846 droplet diameters are about 10 to 70 μm in injection pressures of 0.8 to 4MPa, annular gap of 0.4mm. Based on above experimental data, a distribution function was derived by using the information entropy. When compared with experimental data, agreement is reasonable.
