摘要

We address numerically two important aspects of HAMR (heat-assisted magnetic recording) near-field transducer (NFT) design, namely media-impedance matching and hot spot thermal curvature flattening. A scheme to tune the NFT-media impedance mismatch remotely from the air-bearing surface (ABS) is proposed, and the dependence of the thermal curvature on the optical polarization is investigated.
