In this paper, we present a mathematical model of the optical feedback interferometric signal dependency on laser injection current and temperature for single-mode lasers. The model was developed for the three different interferometric signal acquisition schemes, where the signals dependency on slope efficiency, and thus laser current and temperature, was demonstrated theoretically and experimentally for a wide range of laser current. As predicted by the model, experimental results show that the interferometric signals behave differently with injection current. Moreover, the amplitude and phase relationships of the different interferometric signals have been investigated thoroughly.
