Internet of Things in short is connecting physical world to digital world via Sensors, Actuators, Transceivers, Processors and the communication between the devices is achieved throughagglomeration of wireless technologies to achieve some meaningful purposes. IOT has brought an enormous differences in human lives by reducing human interventions with machines. This paper highlights the accident rates across the world as per their ranking as published by WHO. In this paper, A conceptual frame work has been proposed that high lights different causes of road accidents to take place. This paper also covers possible measuring parameters and approaches that draws a solution to prevent road accidents in the light of IOT technology and It also highlights some of the existing technologies that have been used in the transportation area to resolve the problem of traffic accidents and compares it with the proposed method in terms of its limitations.
