The analysis performed in this paper starts from an EPANET model of the Tei-Colentina District water distribution system in Bucharest. The model was used in a previous study to assess the energy consumption of the pumping station. The present study is trying to assess the differences, with respect to energy consumption, between the previous demand driven EPANET model and a new pressure driven model, created with WaterNetGen (an EPANET extension) that allows taking into account leakages at pipe level. Although results show an increase of the energy consumption in the latter case, the pumping station still delivers the demand at a correct pressure level.
