By optically trapping yeasts, the relationship between trapping efficiencies of a fiber optical tweezer and the etched lengths of fiber microlens is studied. The fiber optical tweezers are successfully implemented for trapping yeasts at the wavelength of 650 nm. The optimal trapping efficiency of 6.9% occurs when the etched length is about 1.5 mm.
