Design of high linearity low Noise figure mixer is presented in 0.18μm tsmc technology for Wi-max Application. Mixer is basically a noisy circuit, which produces large number of intermodulation products. Different parameters of mixer contradict to each other, so it is difficult to optimize them. Here basic Gilbert cell is used for design of mixer with current bleeding (CB) technique to improve noise performance and Derivative superposition (DS) method to improve IIP3 (Third Order Intermodulation Product). Circuit is optimized for 3.5 GHz fixed Wi-max application using cadence spectre tool. Simulated results are 9.89 dB conversion gain with -2 dBm LO Power, DSB & SSB noise of 2.68 & 5.67 dB respectively, IIP3 of 1.54 dbm, 1-dB compression point of -18.94 dbm with 7.59 mw power consumption.
