Eq. (1) based on the classical thermal equation was proposed,rnwhich has been applied to calculate the temperature distributionsrnin a NaS battery and a surge arrester in previous papers (1) - (3). Thernequation was transformed into an ion vibration equation (2) byrnsubstituting h’ν for Δθ, based on the ideas shown in Figs. 1 - 3 (3).rnTherefore, thermal conduction was considered as the propagationrnof electromagnetic waves such as infrared rays. Thermalrnresistance was proportional to volume as shown in Eqs. (1) and (2),rnwhich was a key point in the reliability of the temperaturerndiscourses (1) - (3) to be newly proposed and applied in the paper (2),rnthat is, the temperature distributions were calculated by solvingrnthe differential equation τ including the new R equation. In thisrnpaper, the cause of the proportion was discussed and estimated forrnthe reflection of the electromagnetic waves.
