摘要

The biochemical assays in a microfluidic centrifugal method uses specially designed disks for the miniaturization of typical laboratory processes. This paper describes the development of a low-cost and portable point-of-care device capable of performing blood tests based on microfluidic disk. The device is capable of performing blood cholesterol test in its automatic mode. In manual mode other test routines can be tested according to user's needs. The Arduino microcontroller is employed to be the core of this system. It controls the rotational speed, direction, the duration of rotation of the disk and the user interface.
