In recent years the interest in deriving newrnconcepts for electric distribution systems that build on powerrnelectronics converter interfaces for system components hasrnincreased rapidly. This interest is based on the promise that thernpower electronics based interfaces between distribution andrngeneration/loads bring about higher efficiency, compacterrnimplementation, and improved controllability. Nevertheless,rnensuring stability of these converter dominated systems is arnchallenge. One means of analyzing stability properties is throughrnmeasuring impedances, i.e., measuring input and outputrnimpedances of connected components. This paper presentsrnresults of testing the first available medium voltage impedancernmeasurement unit.
