The present study reports the work on anaerobic digestion of Napier grass. The anaerobic biodegradability of Napier Grass is evaluated in batch as well as continuous type laboratory scale digester. The present work aims to study various species of Napier grass, characteristics of grass silage, and potential of grass bio methane at laboratory Scale. The results showed that average methane yield from batch digester were 0.34 m/kg VS & continuous digester were is 0.36 m/kg VS. Gas production is observed to be constant and higher in continuous plant as compared to the batch mode plant.
