Study of heart rate variability of university trained at rest and exercise

Study the behavior of cardiac rate variability in healthy volunteers. Twelve volunteers were studied with active lifestyles and mean age 19 ± 2,85 years. The volunteers underwent regular physical exercise, aerobic predominantly. The heart rate data were collected from students through a cardio-frequency meter (Polar S810) at rest, supine and sitting, and during exercise in the trial of six-minute walk test. Heart rate variability was analyzed in time domain and frequency. For statistical analysis we used the Friedman test, Dunn and Mann-Whitney test. It was observed that the RMSSD decreases the condition of rest, supine and sitting for the exercise (p<0,05). There was a decrease in high frequency band and an increase in low frequency band with exercise (p<0,05). These results suggest a decreased parasympathetic activity acting on the sinoatrial node and physical exercise also allows us to infer the functional capacity and cardiovascular status of students studied.
