Grid_based collaboration environment in e-learning

摘要

Grid technology provides great opportunity and challenge for education informationize. Grid technology can resolve the problems in existing e-learning platforms and provide more help for further development of e-learning, especially in creating better collaboration environment. Computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) based on grid technology was discussed in the paper. Grid computing can bring two aspects of benefits to CSCL: one is that it can resolve resource problems of traditional CSCL, the others is that its program model provides basic framework for creating collaboration environment. Meanwhile, existing CSCL projects were also introduced. In the end, integrableware idea is imported into e-learning grid, which is another approach to create advanced collaboration environment. Results show that the methods proposed can make the communions of resource more convenient comparing to traditional courseware
