Method to accelerate the resume transtion for hibernation by selective swapout in computer system

摘要

The Sleep and the hibernation are provided as power saving mode on computers. This paper discusses the advantage of the hibernation, proposes a method to accelerate the resume transition by more than a few times, and shows the test results on Windows system. This method is implemented in “ThinkPad” that is a brand of laptop computers developed by Lenovo.
