The social responsibility education in China's business schools under the background of globalization: Trends, problems and countermeasures

Business schools are one of essential ingredients in Chinese higher education system, where they assume the important tasks of training administrative talents and providing a theoretical and intellectual support for national economic development. By nature, business schools are closely connected to the society, in which they should take certain social responsibility. With the rapid development of China's economy, the advancements of corporate social responsibility education will become an important factor to the business schools' success and to the sustainable development of companies in general. As the cradle of training senior management talents, business schools should pay more attention to the education of social responsibility. This paper studies the present situation of business school in regard to social responsibility education, with its development trends, challenges and opportunities. From a brief literature review, the paper has synthesized the developing trends as well the existing problems. Finally, through stakeholder approach, some the countermeasures are proposed in regard to curriculum development, teaching and evaluation method, and school running pattern as well.
