The paper aims to determine if current LCA methods forrndetermining a building’s environmental footprint adequatelyrncapture the true environmental impacts and proposes changes tornthe traditional building LCA process. The Global WarmingrnPotential from the traditional LCA is computed and the same isrncalculated after the proposed changes. From this, It is apparentrnthat the net impact from using the alternate methods proposed inrnthis paper can vary significantly from a traditional LCA. In thisrnscenario, the net impact is close to 14% different from therntraditional LCA.
