Lasing from a coupled quantum dot-cavity with the influence of pure dephasing

摘要

A coupled quantum dot-cavity system is addressed under taking into account of pure dephasing, incoherent pumping and stimulated emission. By considering the dynamics of the coupled system, the evolution of the populations are studied, and then we investigate the auto-correlation function of the single mode field, the result predicts that a laser can be got. Furthermore, we investigate the strategies to optimize the single quantum dot laser. The obtained results offer appealing perspectives in developing an efficient solid-state single-emitter laser.
