The objective of the study was to examine the effect of team processes on entrepreneurial success in the entrepreneurial training program provided by Young Entrepreneurs (YE) -Israel. We used self-report questionnaires addressed to the key participants of the training program: trainers, teachers, business advisors, regional coordinators and student-trainees. The study‘s results demonstrated that out-group competitiveness, group entrepreneurial absorptive capacity and workload-sharing strongly predicted group entrepreneurial success outcomes, as measured by objective criteria such as competitive awards and trainer ranking, and subjective criteria such as trainer and coordinator evaluations. Results also showed that group socioeconomic status (SES) had a strong effect on group entrepreneurial outcomes: high-SES groups were more successful than low-SES ones. Our study‘s findings contribute to the theory and practice of entrepreneurial teams, as well as to the research literature on evaluation of training programs.
