Measuring Your Safety Health Process-Smurfit-Stone's Approach

In an effort to evaluate and effectively measure a location's safety and health process, Smurfit-Stone'srnContainerboard Mill Division (CMD) has established an internal, comprehensive approach to evaluate andrnmeasure all elements in a defined safety and health system. This process outlines the requirements in bothrnthe safety management system and OSHA compliance standards required of each mill. The processrnquantifies the facilities progress with the implementation of those elements and establishes a facilityrnbenchmark to measure continuous improvement in future evaluations.
