The hysterisis phenomenon affects the flow behaviour inrnvarious occasions. In particular in the WAG process the cyclicrninjections of wetting and non-wetting (water and gas) fluidsrncauses the appearance of the hysterisis phenomena. To accessrnits magnitude we performed experimental tests and analyticalrnstudies. We measured in different formations the relativernpermeabilities in the imbibition and drainage cycle, using oilrnand water. We monitored the rates and pressures at thernextremes of the rock sample and also the internal saturationrnevolution with electrodes. These data permitted to obtain thernfractional flow curve for the imbibition and drainage process.rnWe then performed a flow test, which result, could berncompared with different mathematical approaches proposed inrnthe literature to describe this behaviour. There are in thernliterature different proposals to calculate the flow in porousrnmedia honouring the hysteretic flow. We used three semianalyticalrnand one numerical method to describe thernexperimental test. Finally we compared the results.
