Adsorption isotherms and breakthrough curves of two volatile organic compounds - VOC (dichloromethane –rnDCM and methanol – MET) have been performed on different kinds of activated carbons (AC). A very good agreementrnbetween those two methods (static and dynamic) is shown at rather low VOC concentration. According to the VOCrnconcentration, the porous texture and the surface functions of the AC, an overshoot of MET by DCM is observed so that uprnto 85% of pure MET can be recovered. Another important parameter is the presence of water vapour which can stronglyrninfluence the breakthrough curves and the intensity of the MET overshoot.
