How We Successfully Converted to WLM-Controlled Initiators

Are you happy with your job class/initiator structure? Is it straightforward and simple? Does the prospect of migrating it to WLM-controlled initiators cause you concern? Many shops' job class/initiator structures evolved like diamonds -- formed under tremendous pressures combining both performance and political requirements. The simplest configuration will translate best to WLM, but how does one get there? Must all users change their JCL or is there some way to make the required changes transparent? This paper details one shop's conversion from an unruly JES2 job initiator structure to a streamlined WLM initiator structure and related batch management issues.
