EVALUATING TRANSIENT CHARACTERISTICS OF LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEMS USING CUMULATIVE SPECTRA

The impulse response of a loudspeaker unit or a loudspeaker system is the fundamental performance to describe its transient characteristics, and several time-frequency distributions can also provide useful information about the transient behavior, such as cumulative spectra, which is discussed in this paper. Some methods for improving interpretation of cumulative spectra plot on the basis of the conventional concepts are proposed.
