The way in which a company manages its day-to-day business activities determines its success or failure in the marketplace. An integral facet of these business responsibilities is employee health and safety. Managing the health and safety programs in a comprehensive and proactive manner contributes to business success by improving safety performance, reducing overall costs, and expanding employee involvement within the company.rnThese presentations will focus on various aspects of effective management of health and safety programs. The session will begin with Jim Logan presenting an overview of effective tools to manage and implement health and safety programs from a corporate perspective, highlighting successful blending of corporate-wide consistency with local plant needs. This will be followed with a presentation by Robert Green, who will discuss successful implementation of health and safety programs at a manufacturing site and the key components needed to drive a successful program. Scott Keefauver and Atiya Syverson will discuss the practical considerations and difficulties around record keeping, and how to manage safety records. Keith Kling will round out the program, with a presentation of a successful health and safety audit program, how it can be used to ensure OSHA compliance and a safe work environment.
