28.1: Development of Ferroelectric Liquid-Crystal Light Valve

摘要

An optically addressed ferroelectric liquid crystal light valve (FLV) has been developed for large screen projectors. The FLV provides high resolution images due to their highly photosensitive a-Si:H photodiodes and great number of individual mirror electrodes. A good quality of an analog gray scale can be obtained by the charge-control driving method.
