The Use of Detectors Instead Power Meters: A Simple and Cheap Option in Microwave Measurements

摘要

In this work, the use of microwave detectors (Shocttky diodes) instead power meter is suggestes. With this simple substitution, microwave measurements may get an easier and cheaper process. The detector specifications are described. In order to exemplifier the proposed substitution, experimental results are presented and, when compared to numerical ones, a good agreement is observed. Detector's stability and price are some of the advantages of the suggested substitution.
