The texture of a recrystallized, deformed and aged plate of commercial Aluminum Alloy 5xxx was analyzed by x-ray and ultrasonic techniques. The texture is described in terms of an orientation distribution function which is expanded as series of generalized spherical harmonics, whose coefficients are known as orientation distribution coefficients. ODCs at different cold rolling percentage, aging temperature and aging time combinations are presented. The primary results demonstrate that the alloy investigated was initially weakly recrystallized and developed strong cold rolling texture after a 50
