Characteristics of wave propagating along mesh in FDTD technique

摘要

A new mesh wave impedance (MWI) that characterizes the properties of wave travelling along the mesh in FDTD technique is defined and the formulas are derived in plane the medium (mu, epsilin) and mesh's parameters (cell size triangle open, time step triangle opent) as well as the frequency. As usual a wave refiection will occur at the interface of two mesh with different mesh wave impedance and the reflection coefficients have been obtaiend. Numerical examples have verified mesh wave impedance concept and the reflection coefficient formula. Introducton of mesh wave impedance will be useful in solving match problems and analyzing error and applying nonuniform mesh in FDTD technique.
