43.4: Stereoscopic Depth Discrimination in the Crossed and Uncrossed Directions with Brief- vs. Extended-Stimulus Exposure

This study examined discrimination of stereoscopic depth in crossed (depth in front of fixation) versus uncrossed (depth behind fixation) directions with brief versus long stimulus exposures. Most individuals performed well at depth discrimination in crossed and uncrossed directions with long exposure. Many individuals failed at depth discrimination, especially in the uncrossed direction, with brief exposure.
