Bell Atlantic's Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN)-A Revolutionary Step Beyond IN In December of 1991,Bell Atlantic launched a new dimension in their telephone network by providing AIN services on the new Integrated Service Control Point (ISCP) platform.This new component provides the capabdity to create and implement customized services in realtime into the network.The heart of the ISCP is the graphical service creation environment named SPACETM which provides many advantages to the telephone operator including:· reduce time to market new service offerings· reduce switch vendor service differences·reduce time to customize individual services·provide customers service fexibility,reliability,control,and management.This paper will provide an overview of the architecture,service creation platform,and some of the services that have been implemented in Bell Atlantic and other Telephone Companies in North America.
