摘要

The different design steps of an electric wheel motor are reported from specifications, technologicalrnchoices, different modeling and also the set-up of an optimization process that is performed usingrnnumerical algorithms. The design methodology is presented. The contribution of numerical methods isrnemphasized and comparisons with measurements are reported. Wheel motors are particularly attractivernsince there is no gear between the motor and the wheels. This way, the number of mechanicalrntransmission element is greatly reduced.
