Ergonomically designed screwdrivers were developed in a participatory process (Eikhout, 2005). After production, the screwdrivers were tested in comparison with those of a different brand that acts in the same market segment. The results show that both comfort and performance were considerably better when using the ergonomically designed screwdrivers. Productivity effects could be presented in quantitative data. The question arose: how can the screwdriver manufacturer benefit from the scientific results? The paper describes a tool for salesmen, and is meant as a start of a discussion on how to present scientific results for commercial purposes.
