摘要

The main objective of this paper is to study and compare various reliability based criteria for weather events proposed by current codes such as ASCE74, CSA/CAN, IEC and CENELEC and to discuss their impact on overall line reliability. For demonstration purposes, climatic loads imposed to a specific transmission lines situated in Boston are calculated for different return periods.
