ELECTROCHEMICAL PREVENTION OF MARINE BIOFILMSFROM STAINLESS STEEL SURFACEIN NATURAL SEAWATER

摘要

Cathodic polarization has a great effect on the attachment of microbes to metal surface. Herernusing double-staining method (AO+PI), measured the microbe number on different electrodes inrnnatural seawater, and analyzed the effect of cathodic polarization on biofilms by epifluoresencernmicroscope. Results displayed that cathodic polarization at appropriate potential, such as –800mVrn(vs.SCE), can restrained the formation of biofilms, and polarization can partly killed microbes near thernelectrode surface. The calcareous deposit appeared on metal surface, when the potential over –1000mV,rnwhich can also prevent the attachment of microbes to metal surface.
