Abstract: The aim of the work is to apply multifractal analysis to absorption spectra of basic molecules of the atmosphere H$- 2$/O, CO$-2$/, O$-3$/. We have shown that the absorption spectra of vibration-rotation bands of gas molecules possess nontrivial multifractal features. The spectrum of multifractal dimensions is generated by the `absorption density' (the normalized summary absorption per the unit of spectral interval). The singularity spectrum depends on molecular and isotopic composition of gas and of type of vibration-rotation band of absorption.!12
